"Cheltenham Spa Express Sprinter"   Grin

Quote
17:36 London Paddington to Swindon due 18:35
Facilities on the 17:36 London Paddington to Swindon due 18:35.
Will be formed of 10 coaches.
Additional Information

Please note that Monday to Thursday this week this train is formed of a 10 coach Intercity Express Train and terminates at Swindon. Any customers for Kemble, Stroud, Stonehouse, Gloucester or Cheltenham Spa should note there is a connecting train departing Swindon between 5 and 10 minutes after the arrival of the service from London Paddington which is expected to be formed of a 2 coach train.

We apologise for the inconvenience this alteration to the train service this week will cause.

I guess 10 into 2 might go ...likely to be very cosy!   It's been suggested that this week may be a hard one to resource ...

One wonders if it relates to a story in Gloucestershire Live[/quote]

Cheltenham Spa station staff told commuters they didn't have anyone to open the doors of a train stuck at the platform this morning.

The 6.30am train from Cheltenham to London Paddington - via Gloucester and other stops - was stationary at Platform One for 13 minutes, as dozens of confused would-be passengers waited.

Great so the connecting train gets cancelled. So bad enough you have to get off your Intercity train onto a DMU (Diesel Multiple Unit) now that’s not even running either  Roll Eyes The railways never cease to amaze.
