Well, I know how you all Just Cant Get Enough of the DfT» (Department for Transport - about)'s WebTAG Policy Of Truth on the role of transport modelling and appraisal, and how the transport appraisal process aims to Get The Balance Right by supporting the development of investment decisions to support a business case. Therefore it was only A Question Of Time before a list of forthcoming changes was issued - https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/webtag-forthcoming-changes

Everything Counts - All appraisal and modelling values referred to in the Transport Analysis Guidance (TAG) - https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/webtag-tag-data-book-may-2014

Hole To Feed? - Transport Analysis Guidance (TAG) provides information on the role of transport modelling and appraisal - https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/webtag-tag-unit-a1-1-cost-benefit-analysis & https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/webtag-tag-unit-a1-2-scheme-costs plus https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/webtag-tag-unit-a5-3-rail-appraisal

Master and Servant - Transport Analysis Guidance (TAG) on the analysis of user and provider impacts in transport appraisals - https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/webtag-tag-unit-a1-3-user-and-provider-impacts-may-2014

Never Let Me Down Again - Transport Analysis Guidance (TAG) on the analysis of forecasting and uncertainty in transport appraisals - https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/webtag-tag-unit-m4-forecasting-and-uncertainty-may-2014

I shall now Leave In Silence and go Home, allowing you to digest the above in Peace. Although at first the process may bring on an understandable feeling that It's No Good, and perhaps even Wrong or Useless, once you have spent some time Walking In My Shoes seeing the World In My Eyes with the figures Stripped down, you will start to move away from Condemnation, and regard it as less like staring down the Barrel Of A Gun, and more like A Pain That I'm Used To.

See You later!

Hmm ... I know we're meeting on the train tomorrow.   I hope I'm not up so late reading that lot that I oversleep.

Joking apart, it is important that we understand how this works for TransWilts stage 4.    Stage 3 was REGAIN the service, and stage 4 is RETAIN it ... what fun we'll be having in 2015!
