Can you help identify this man? British Transport Police appeal for information after member of rail staff assaulted ^ Yatton
British Transport Police (BTP▸ ) officers are appealing for the public^s help to identify a man they would like to speak to in connection with an assault on a member of rail staff.
Officers have today released a CCTV▸ image of a man they believe will have information which can assist the investigation into the incident which took place on Friday, 17 February 2012.
Investigating officer, PC Mohammed Abdelmoniem, said: ^The conductor on board a Weston-super-Mare to Bristol Temple Meads service was checking tickets at around 1.20pm when he encountered a male passenger who had no ticket and no money to pay his fare. The passenger also became abusive, swearing at the conductor.
^When the train arrived at Yatton railway station, the passenger pushed the conductor, causing him to fall onto the platform. Although not injured, the member of staff was extremely shaken by the incident.
^The passenger left the station before police arrived.
^Enquiries have been ongoing since the incident and, after viewing CCTV, I am now keen to trace and speak to the man in this photograph.^
