I noticed some building fencing has gone up on the platform at Redland but there's nothing to indicate what it's for. Anyone got any info?

Possibly connected with the furniture restorers who occupy what was once the waiting room/ticket office?

Yes, that sounds possible. I shall have another look in a few days. There was a double line cut into the tarmac along the platform.

Word on the street is that this is infrastructure for smart ticketing for the SB▸ (Signal Box) line in the future. This is unexpected but encouraging. My sources are from FROBR.

The people from the upholsterers had their 21 years at Redland Station bun fight this afternoon. A chap from GWR▸ (Great Western Railway) seems to have cordoned of a bit of the platform for a pergola  to keep the showers at bay. Loads of people there perhaps partly explained by what seemed to be a robust supply of free bubbly!
