How does a problem between Swindon and Didcot lead to a cancellation from Swindon to Frome?   I could understand it if we had an Oxford to Westbury service reversing at Didcot - perhaps that's what we'll have once electrification reaches Didcot, with the Swindon terminators extended to provide one of the hourly Didcot to Oxford shuttles?   Seems to work timetabling wise ...

Are the two events linked?

Are the two events linked?

That's a single screen capture ... the probability in my view is that they are.   Would be one heck of a co-incicence if two "problem under investigation"s popped up at the same time and so very close to each other!!

I suspect the issue may be at Swindon from the wording rather than between the two.

The next arrival from Westbury (13:05) was also cancelled, but "This service was cancelled throughout due to a problem with the doors (M7)." The return to Westbury did, however, run departing 11 late at 13:30. It's shown by RTT» (Real Time Trains - website) as leaving from P1, so the stock movements that got it there must be invisible ones.

Yep, reading back, you might be right.  I wonder what it might be that closed the lines towards Didcot and effected the westbound bay!

I suspect that the first lunchtime "up" turned into the second lunchtime "down" ...
