Valid and I have to give you that, but still not what I had in mind!

10. Basingstoke isn’t AC electrified?

Yes - and indeed all of them are at a boundary where at least one onward route in under diesel power.

3. - No current direct train services between them but they used to, except Trowbridge to Waterloo

9. South West not a bus company??

On the right lines - but not quite - in both cases. Trowbridge to Waterloo IS the odd one out ... but the reason is subtly different. And for question 9, you are on the right lines (or should I say "road") with bus companies.

3. Ashford International - Paris is the only one that you require a Passport to use the service, also the only service where the train is timetabled to exceed 126mph

Another good answer - I hadn't realised that there are a couple of trains (14:00 and 16:00) in the afternoon ...

Another stab at 3 - have the TOCs (Train Operating Company) for the other 3 services apart from the Trowbridge to Waterloo service indicated their closures are temporary and will be reviewed?

4.  All except Helston are on the coast
All except Looe, at one time had through railway coaches from London
And only Looe has shark fishing
Only Newquay is increasingly being over developed/spoilt in the name of ‘Tourism’ !

On number 3, a quiz thread probably isn't the place to make this point.

Totally agreed - please quote yourself and start a new thread in "Cross Country"  Cheesy.  ... many a true word is written jest or in a lighter vein!

Edit to add - new thread (and original post) at http://www.passenger.chat/26680
