Well, given that you've recently been on Madeira, I think the location for this picture has to be the city that's known locally as 'Cruz'.

I'm wondering what Covid precautions you're experiencing on the ship and ashore?

Hopefully you are being run ashore quite a bit.  There are much prettier parts than the capital, plus you could become the highest man in Spain. My son and I were several years ago.

A different day ... a different port. Only one of these pictures has any real rail interest - which is it?

The beach is Playa de Las Canteras, so we're (or rather you were) in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The railway ... is kind of virtual just now. It's meant to run to the Parque de Santa Catalina, which is behind the museum off to the left, but you might be more interested in the bits of the old railway inside the museum.

Yes, it is ... a shortish stop; circumstances such that we only had an opportunity to take in the city via the tour bus and a limited short walk in the old city.

No. 1 is Alcântara-Terra in Lisbon. A terminus that's not quite sure if it is or not.

Mind you, my first thought was that no. 2 was Belém - but then you wouldn't have put the two days in order, would you?

I was in Alcantara based on a misunderstanding - but that's another story.   Rather a reminder of Weymouth - with tracks running beyond the terminus.   I was very much on a whistle none-stop tour and didn't really follow though and spend the time there I undoubtedly could have done.
