Waste of paper. No Devon Metro! No extra trains to Cornwall! At least the XC▸ trains are still running past Exeter. And to please Brexit voters the E (EU» funding) trains have lost the E and are still there.

Anyways, noticing the 18th May date put in. I have now been told that most will happen in may and some in December. Looking forward to that!
No trains from Reading to Golden Valley for four hours between three and seven. Both 1742 and 1837 to Cheltenham are now running fast to Didcot Parkway.

As extra trains from London come on tap from London to Bristol and to Cheltenham Spa, you'll probably find that a few more skip Reading and a few skip Swindon. And that may leave longer gaps than at present. Taking Chippenham to London - up from 2 to 3 in a peak hour, but one not calling at Swindon so that makes for some 40 minute gaps where the current gap is a consistent 30 minutes. It also means the advise for Trowbridge / Melksham passengers to "always change at Swindon for London" may have to be looked at and may be different for each TransWilts train. |

Well .... llllots more London through services from various places ... ... and better connections across the network. ... but at the expense of some cost to intermediate direct journeys, and with the long distance trains re-timetabled in due course (December 2019?), connections which have traditionally existed and built up traffic may be broken. There might be new opportunities where they did not exist, but that will be starting from scratch in terms of building traffic. Particular personal concern at Westbury. |

I'm obviously being a bit dim and been looking at the webpage for too long but I couldn't see Twyford to London trains. Which timetable should I be looking at?

T10 - "London to Greenford, Heathrow Airport, Reading and Didcot Parkway (stopping services)". In this case that means anything stopping between Reading and Paddington, even if it's fast from Twyford and/or Maidenhead. |

Yes they do run fast, shown as nonstop through Reading in the current GW▸ timetable B7. Mountain out of molehill? Noticed this week at Exeter St Davids when IC91 is overtaken by IC92 that the platforms they use (5 and 4 respectively) have been reversed. It is more logical as IC91 becomes the local stopping service which normally goes from platform 3 so customers only have to move across to platform 4 . This has only happened since IC92 became an IET▸ .

There is ... huge ... future logic for the semi-fast from Paddington to be overtaken by the silly-fast service at Exeter every hour, during a brief pause on its 179 minute schedule from London to Plymouth |

Using platform 3 ties down the platform for too long if IC91 used it. |
