Cancelling 25 Feb - due to weight of other things going on / no longer able to lead - G.
1st April walk going ahead as planned

Guided Walk from Chippenham Station to Melksham

From Chippenham at 10:15 (09:30 from Westbury / 09:36 Trowbridge / 09:46 Melksham train), to Melksham in time for the 15:21 and 15:48 departures.

Walk will leave Chippenham along the trackbed of the branch to Calne, and will turn off near Stanley Bridge and follow the Wilts and Berks Canal to Reybridge.  Across the surfaced path to Lacock, thence on to Melksham.    Being a winter walk, muddy fields and flood planes will be avoided.     Estimated 7 miles;  further details to follow but please put it in your diary.

Dogs welcome ... mine will be coming!

Following walk - 1st April 2017 from Trowbridge (11:15) to Melksham

Cancelling walk (of course anyone's welcome to walk on their own - it's all public footpaths)

Simply too much going on to pre-walk, publicise, plan and something has to give - and I'm taking steps to make sure that the thing that doesn't give is my health or sanity!

1st April walk goes ahead

Just to note on the 27th May Swindon is closed - bar the line to Gloucester - with buses between Reading and Chippenham.
