Route affected

    Between Hereford / Great Malvern / Worcester Shrub Hill and London Paddington; and also between Great Malvern and Bristol Temple Meads / Warminster / Southampton Central / Weymouth
     
Train operator affected
    Great Western Railway; 
Description

    Heavy rain has flooded the railway at various locations between Hereford and Gloucester / Oxford.

    Trains running between these stations will be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised. Disruption is expected until at least 18:00.

    Customer advice:

    Limited replacement road transport is running between Worcester Shrub Hill and Morteton-in-Marsh and also between Worcester Shrub Hill and Gloucester. Your journey time will be significantly increased.

    You may also use your ticket on Stagecoach Buses, on the routes shown below:

        Route 10: Gloucester (Clarence Street) - Cheltenham (Promenade)
        Route 71: Gloucester (Bus Station) - Tewkesbury
        Routes 97 and 98: Gloucester (Bus Station) - Cheltenham (Promenade)
        Route 23: Gloucester (Bus Station) - Lydney (Bus Station)
        Routes 94, 94X and 94U: Gloucester (Market Parade) - Cheltenham (Promenade)

     

    If you wish to use other local buses as an alternative means of transport and they are not accepting Great Western Railway tickets, please keep the bus ticket and send it, together with your rail ticket, to Great Western Railway for a refund.

     

    Additional information:

    Flooding has occurred at the following locations:

        between Hereford and Great Malvern
        between Moreton-in-Marsh and Honeybourne
        between Worcester and Cheltenham Spa

     

    West Midlands Railway are also affected by the flooding between Hereford and Great Malvern. More details can be found here.

And Cross Country too, so it's the main line blocked as well.

Yes, it's been a bit drizzly here too, but I see the upper SW valleys have had enough snow for higher roads to grind to a halt too (not that that takes much these days).
