1.  Paddington had a booking office refit not long ago.

That's the correct sort of logic ... though it's lead you to the wrong destination, I'm afraid!

Going on the rough logic that it's in the process of or has been recently done up, and is between the other pictures... Chippenham?  Huh

5. Swindon? (The bay platform?)

Looks like its gotten worse. Back to Swindon for road replacement to Bath and Chippenham (and through to Westbury, I assume).

Alterations to services between Chippenham and Swindon
Due to heavy rain flooding the railway between Chippenham and Swindon all lines are blocked.
Train services running through these stations may be delayed by up to 30 minutes or diverted. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

19:57 Swindon to Westbury held up at present ...

It's currently 'sandwiched'  between 1C26 and 1C27. Looks like 1C27 is about to reverse towards Swindon.

Something seems a bit off about 8, pretty sure its Swindon though  Grin

Could the Swindon to Oxford flow be linked to the later service from Bristol/Bath/Chippenham to Swindon? On to Didcot to connect with the Oxford and TV services?  Huh

Swindon has a couple of the "in door" variant. These look a bit more weatherproof...as they should be.

Disruption is likely to affect the service on Wednesday 1st November as well. Please check for updates. (updated at 19:30)

And in to tomorrow.

It's a shame that QR (QR Code - Quick Response code) codes seem to have had their day.

It's worth pointing out though that iOS, the iPhone software, has been given support for these at long last. Albeit a bit too late.

I don't think they'll be completely dying out anytime soon though.

Loved the quote from last night's programme after the derailment looking for a spare driver ".....we're always stuffed for drivers on Sundays "........from the horse's mouth! (Although it could equally apply to weekdays now it seems!)

You were the first person to come to mind as soon as they showed that.  Roll Eyes Grin

Was very interesting to see the level of coverage on the derailment though. Interesting episode.

"They built things properly 40 years ago" an echo of most HST (High Speed Train) boards right now with the Class 800 rolling out...But that's probably another thread!  Roll Eyes

At least an effort is being made with what resources are available. Some interesting schedules for next weekend!

How about Hereford to Swansea via Oxford, Swindon, Gloucester to Newport.  Grin Roll Eyes

Does anybody know why the prototype HST (High Speed Train) power car 41001 was in the shed and not outside (I didn't actually venture far into the shed to investigate due to the number of people)?

To quote the 125 group "Nothing to worry about. It's just getting a wheel bearing done."

Taking advantage of the facilities on offer, no doubt.  Grin

They were certainly due an upgrade. One of the machines was refusing all cards for a couple of weeks. A particular pain on a card only machine.  Roll Eyes
