5 all opened/reopened in 1985
Yes no 1 - all are termini on branch lines that used to continue onwards. Balloch originally continued to Balloch Pier; Uckfield met up with the line to Lewes, and Sheringham continued onto the Poppy Line to Holt.
Have they all been resited as well? Balloch was after Balloch Central and Pier stations closed, and Uckfield was resited after the Lewes line closed. Was Sheringham also resited?
Yes, and there's something even more specific following on from that. They were all resited on the opposite sides of level crossings, (and possibly that meant the level crossings could then be removed).

There's a connection between all these pictures, and it's especially right to have this quiz today. If you get the connection, the remaining locations may become clearer.
Giving you the connection ... all picture I took on this date last year You must have traveled a long way that day! I googled the scaffolders advertising in no 10 and they are based in Mitcham in south London, and say they work within the M25, so presumably that must be in London, though it doesn't really fit any other clue in the picture or what your journey must have been, as it was obviously middle of day.

3 is Harling Road, on the line from Thetford to Norwich, and thus originally Great Eastern. I must admit that until 5 minutes ago I had never heard of this station, but a trawl through some eastern maps located it. I'm not sure how well this link to Street View will come though, but it gives some idea of an old fashioned station with a signal box and level crossing, looking around at a cluster of houses. I think there's an hourly train service passing through each way, but at present just the occasional call. I looked up Harling Road to Norwich at around 9.30am today, a direct service of about 20 miles at the most to the nearest city, and it showed me the first train was after 4pm today and was the one in the opposite direction to Thetford, where you had to change onto a train that went back through the station non-stop. The fare is nearly ?16 single (two tickets needed). So I suspect very little used.

With winter here, I, and I am sure a few others, are actually sometimes wearing masks outdoors when it is not a requirement as it helps keep your face warm without needing to remember a scarf.
I'm not sure if that is why, based on my own observations, face covering compliance (everywhere, not just on trains) seems to be higher now that it was after the ruling was introduced?
Yes, they are good at keeping your face warm, and undoubtedly many are keeping them on because of that, but as someone whose nose runs a lot in cold weather, I find I have to remove mine quite quickly.

Out of interest, do people think you should have to wear a mask when riding a bicycle?
I did this the other day. Just couldn't be bothered to take it off when I came out of a shop so rode home with it on, from Whiteladies Road to near Gloucester Road. All fine... until I got to Cotham Hill, which (as you know) as a hill in name only. Here my heavier breathing caused the fabric to be sucked in ? and out ? and in ? and out... I think if it had been a proper hill I would have suffocated, not because the fabric doesn't pass enough air but just because of the 'respiratory diaphragm' effect! Of course it might not have happened if I wasn't so unfit... I certainly wouldn't wear a mask while cycling because, as you said, I've found that the fabric can get into your mouth if breathing heavily. I have seen a few people wearing them, though enough of a rarity to be noteworthy.

My first thought was that they might be railway tunnels. That was because I always think of Sodbury tunnel as being Badminton tunnel, which would fit the equestrian wealthy sportsmen clue. But the only other possible one that might fit was the Two Tunnels on the old S&D▸ (now the Two Tunnels cyclepath), which could be 2 & 3, as one of those (Devonshire) does appear to be misnamed. But I don't know about the artistic connections, or any of the others, so am probably barking up the wrong tree, as they say.

Not overwhelmed with with guesses so far but 2, 3 and 6 predate 1964.
2 and 3 do - just - predate 1964. 6 does NOT, but represents the era that was coming to an end around that time. I am underwhelmed by guesses too - please free to make multiple guesses. To help quizzes be customer / passenger / guest / member appropriate in the future, I am asking myself 1. Are people actually [very] interested but don't have the knowledge to comment? 2. Have I made the quiz too hard? 3. Is other news today taking over their time? 4. Am I just weird enjoying old timetables, such that other quizzes would be more appropriate? To answer your questions above: 1. Yes, very interested but don't have enough knowledge. 2. No, just challenging. 3. It is sadly. 4. No, all your quizzes are interesting, and this one is fascinating. As regards the actual timetables, no 5 has stations that are notably evenly spaced as well as being close together. That, its length, and the poor Sunday service suggest it is mostly a commuter line* in a large town or small city, but I can't place it yet. *The fact that there are no more trains at rush hour times still confirms this to me. I remember just how poor the timing of some commuter services were just at the times you need them. Possibly 1980s.

6 - UK▸ (Brush Traction Loughborough) pictured in Taunton.
Indeed ... we had to have a picture of Taunton. Tricky one though! The bendy main street should have given it away. Indeed, my first thought when I saw the picture was that it looked just like how Taunton's main street must have once looked, there can't be many others that bend round quite as much.
