Well at least GWR (Great Western Railway) does hold an AGM (Annual General Meeting),not sure if or where any other TOC (Train Operating Company) does.
47  Journey by Journey / London to South Wales / Rugby match switched from Cardiff to Twickenham on: February 22, 2024, 11:15:01
Wales will be at "HOME" to South Africa on Saturday 22 June with the match being played at the home of Rugby,Twickenham.

Expect trains to busy from all directions on this day, maybe a day to avoid going to London.

Express service Monday to Friday?

I would have thought most would arrive and depart Butlins on Saturday and Sundays.

More Waffle,

Installation of ticket gates at Sheffield would be a start,

and will this new outfit hold monthly meetings around the country for travellers to express their views?

Last time I was in Sydney, guards are allowed to stand up by the open in swinging door observing the train out of the platform

Always concerned me if the train braked suddenly the in swinging door would push the guard out of the train

Rules MIGHT have been changed by now.

I know in the U.K. we use have mark 1 BSK (Brake Standard Corridor (carriage)) type coaches which had an in swinging guard door, but guards would always close them first

and then observe the platform from the window.

One of the safety failings I think we have in the U.K. is that in some regions dispatch staff don't wear hi-vis jackets.
I thought it was a case if a TOC (Train Operating Company) supplies safety equipment you have to use it?

The railway will still have auditors and accountants to sort out train delays etc.

Do away with train delay culture,if a train develops a train fault,or if the signaler can give the train a green light,so be it.

I should imagine that most of us have been on a platform when a train fault is attempting to be rectified.

Train crew are wound up like coiled springs, trying to answer there phones and dealing with passengers at the same.
55  All across the Great Western territory / Across the West / Re: Trains idling at termini on: February 01, 2024, 18:25:19
Its a good thought, but I can see passengers making a long walk up to the train at the "far end"

and when the passenger gets to the train it moves off to the stop blocks end.

I think what might happen is GWR (Great Western Railway) will reduce the amount of services going to the beach with a bus replacement  service.

If that happens,blame the complainer.

Its a good idea, just thinking do ALL Bristol/Cardiff bound services use platform four?

I think SOME SWT (South West Trains) services heading towards Exeter use platform four.

Would any one know which units create more pollution the SWT units or the units used on the Cardiff to Portsmouth services.

Are there any stand alone recently built battery powered train units,as I can't see overhead wires in that next of the woods for quite some time.
