1171  All across the Great Western territory / Introductions and chat / Hello from not FGW land, but close enough.... on: December 12, 2007, 18:42:05
Hello all

(I really hate writing these...) I'm Tom Cairns and I run swlines, a site for some SWT (South West Trains) lines at the moment, soon to be branching out to FGW (First Great Western) lines (working on Cardiff to Pompey's at the mo!)... I enjoy winding SWT up and am currently awaiting some random stock allocation documents from FGW ...

If some form of engineering timetables that cover FGW (First Great Western) are produced I can see it being VERY useful for FGW customers.
YES PLEASE...FGW don't bother to!

I'll see what I can do. Smiley

Out of interest, what lines would be of particular need to show? I'm not going to go into the Thames Valley area - too much work! If anyone has any suggestions could they email me at contact [at] swlines.co.uk or PM me on here....

Thanks,

Tom

Well my plan initially is to write the timetables in the format I have on the site first - but after that anyone who is willing to give me a hand with engineering timetables (it literally generally requires looking at a journey planner software and ripping the info out as required!) then it would be much appreciated. Smiley

Moving into FGW (First Great Western) territory next ...

I might as well put for the FGW timetables section "Times are approximate and swlines cannot be held responsible if your train does not appear..."  Grin

Sums up my experience with FGW!!!
