2  Journey by Journey / TransWilts line / Re: 2024 - Service update and amendment log, Swindon <-> Westbury on: April 22, 2024, 14:54:33
11:30 Cardiff Central to Portsmouth Harbour due 14:52 was diverted between Bath Spa and Trowbridge and will be terminated at Fratton.
It will no longer call at Bradford-On-Avon, Portsmouth & Southsea and Portsmouth Harbour but will call additionally at Chippenham and Melksham.
It has been previously delayed and is now 41 minutes late from Westbury.
This is due to a road vehicle colliding with a bridge.

It performed well on the day giving those on board a nice ride, punctual arrivals at all points. I enjoyed it. A good test as the load was 13 plus a (dead) class 57.
4  All across the Great Western territory / Fare's Fair / Re: Train swap from Crosscountry Trains on: April 11, 2024, 16:18:22
I changed an advance ticket with GWR (Great Western Railway) yesterday - senior moment. booked wrong date. A simple process and a reasonable charge. It helped that I had booked on line so could access the original booking.

11  Sideshoots - associated subjects / The Lighter Side / Re: How much do you know about train travel in the UK? - Guardian on: January 17, 2024, 11:22:57
I had a go. It appears that I don't know much, at least about the travel habits of the british public, which the quiz is mainly about

Surely Paddington to Liverpool Street would use the Elizabeth line

15  All across the Great Western territory / Fare's Fair / Re: Fares for journeys routed via Worcester on: January 08, 2024, 13:30:23
If travelling to Kidderminster I would always split ticket at Worcester. Apart from being cheaper, it also avoids having to change stations in Birmingham.
