You won't be able to sleep on the station at Bristol TM‡(resolve) either. It'll be out on the pavements at locking up time unfortunately.

The Arriva 150s are still with FGW▸ (First Great Western) at the moment, on their so-called 'day release' between Bristol Parkway and Weston (and indeed wherever else). 

On the subject of 142s, it made a rather unusual 'traction' change on the 23:06 from Bristol to Exeter last night.

Edit: Recoded in the context that mine has been previously 'wiped' and no longer works through the barriers.

It's quite a feat of engineering. It does make you wander if such an expensive and complicated project would go ahead today- and indeed what would be different to today's design.

It'll also be really interesting to watch the tunnel become part of the electrified network in the next few years.

A shiny new departures board has now been fitted by the entrance to platform 2 at Yatton.

Presumably the scrolling LED boards should follow shortly. It also looks like they are installing a TVM▸ (Ticket Vending Machine) on the platform too, just past the station building, again on 2.

The earlier Help Point project did however involve local authority funding - if they stumped up the cash the help point would have been upgraded to the type with an embedding WebCIS screen. Worle got the middle option - 3rd button with automated train info. Milton got the WebCIS. Don't know the whys or wherefores, but I'm sure there's a logic to it.
