Definitely not a terminus for CrossCountry though.

I'm continually surprised how much of the news in the UK (United Kingdom) centres on silliness and stupidity.

Default setting for journalists perhaps?

There is another one.....(actually I can think of three more FGW (First Great Western) 'termini' that are through stations for other operators, but the artwork in pic 20 is only at one of them!)

Maybe a freak whirlwind will pick you up and dump you in strange land populated by bumpkins. AKA (also known as) West Somerset.  Grin

Apart from the obligatory Melksham one, Number 3 is the only one I'm certain of!!

Well, I was with Graham the day he took it.  Grin

Agreed.

'victim' was probably the wrong choice of word. Although the culprit was a victim of his own stupidity. A perfect candidate for a Darwin Award.
13508  All across the Great Western territory / Fare's Fair / Re: Season tickets from stations in and around Bristol only valid via Salisbury? on: December 11, 2010, 12:08:48
There is no 'Bristol Stations' as a ticket origin or destination. If you are referring to 'Bristol Group' stations as used for routeing permissions then this only includes; Bristol TM(resolve), Bristol PW (Permanent Way), Filton, Stapleton Rd, Lawrence Hill.
13509  All across the Great Western territory / The Wider Picture in the United Kingdom / Re: Cable / copper / metal theft - ongoing problems on the railways and elsewhere on: December 11, 2010, 12:03:34
Very little sympathy for the victim or those that witnessed his death.
13510  All across the Great Western territory / Fare's Fair / Re: Season tickets from stations in and around Bristol only valid via Salisbury? on: December 10, 2010, 19:11:12
I understand there were, or are, formulas for creating seasons tickets for flows where no season exists. Whether this is still possible or if booking clerks can do it is another matter though.

If there is still a formula then I'd assume a Shirehampton - London Terminals (Any Permitted) Season would be the same price as a Bristol - London Terminals one. The 'Anytime' fares are the same.

13512  All across the Great Western territory / Fare's Fair / Season tickets from stations in and around Bristol only valid via Salisbury? on: December 10, 2010, 14:18:59
Can anyone explain to me why stations on the Severn Beach Line, Bedminster, Parson Street and Patchway only have season tickets available to London via Warminster/Salisbury?

Seem a bit odd that FGW (First Great Western) don't offer an alternative to the SWT (South West Trains) priced product, forcing people to either travel from Temple Meads, Parkway and Filton or buy two seasons.
13513  Sideshoots - associated subjects / The Lighter Side / Re: Picture Quiz - Random assortment on: December 10, 2010, 09:04:53
No.20 might be the refurbished Waiting Room on P5 at EXD» (Exeter St Davids - next trains).
Sorry, no.

To reiterate and add to the clue for no. 20. The artwork can be found in the waiting room at a FGW (First Great Western) terminus. However it is not a terminus for the other operators who use this particular station.
