Journey by Journey / Heart of Wessex / Re: Timetable Posters - Heart of Wessex

I remember discussing this timetable problem with Graham some time ago (when we were delivering the TransWilts publicity in Melksham) and I wrote emails to FGW▸ and to the Frome Town Council lady (I don't remember her name, it was the person Graham was speaking to at the Cheese and Grain meeting about SWT▸ 's plans). Nothing has happened. I also blame (in some part) the lack of information provided at Frome for the poor passenger numbers when First ran the 234 bus from the station, the bus information on the platform and the bus stop itself still stated that it was for rail replacement services only.

All across the Great Western territory / Fare's Fair / Re: Heart of Wessex via Yeovil Fares

Interesting, in December I sent an Email to SWT▸ on 16th December 2015, as follows:
Good afternoon,
I am very pleased that you are running new services from Yeovil Junction, calling at Frome, however I am very disappointed with the fare for the journey, a single ticket from Yeovil Junction costing ^11 more than one from Yeovil Pen Mill. This means you are charging ^11 for a five minute journey, this must be the most expensive rail journey in the world! I hope you can do a better deal soon.
Best wishes and Happy Christmas,
Alan Pettitt, Axminster ( a traveller every day on your services).
I received a reply from SWT stating that the fares were set by Great Western so they would forward my email to them.
I then, eventually, received an email from GWR▸ in January stating that they were sorry that I was complaining about the fare increase but these were set by the government.
Not a problem for me, I have learnt to split!

All across the Great Western territory / Buses and other ways to travel / First Bus X31 wrong route

I have just boarded the 1749 X31 at Bridport going to Axminster and there is a little old lady sitting on the bus having boarded in Dorchester to go to Martinstown. The driver forgot to go through Martinstown and the supervisor at Bridport told her to stay on the bus and it will be diverted to her destination on it on its way back to dorch. I don't think this very acceptable, surely it would warrant a taxi, probably she will have an extra three hours on her trip.

My very good friend (still) who also happens to be my ex sent me a text from Wetherspoons Bridport a couple of years ago at 0715 to say she was enjoying a nice pint of cider with a mutual friend. When I spent a couple of days with her for her 50th in Bath in February just gone I asked her if Spoons still opened at 7, and she gave me the bad news that it doesn't open till 8 now.
