286  Journey by Journey / TransWilts line / Re: 2022 - TransWilts cancellations and amendments log on: May 23, 2022, 09:27:08
Tracksy shows routed via Melksham, following the problematic freight
287  Journey by Journey / Heart of Wessex / 155R 1134 Llandrindod to Weymouth Jersey Siding 22/5/22 on: May 23, 2022, 08:19:56
This ran yesterday hauled by 37521 + 37688 for Locomotive Services according to RTT» (Real Time Trains - website).
Can anybody provide more detail?
According to Tracksy it is still in Jersey Sidings this morning.
It seems to spend today doing a couple of trips to Weymouth and back before setting off for Crewe via Eastleigh tomorrow.

Two sections of track have been kept in place to preserve some historic element of the Weymouth Branch Line – with a 30m section at the start of the line in Commercial Road and another section in ‘The Loop’ near Cosens Quay Car Park left in place.

The old Bridgewater branch of the S&D (Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway), possibly Ham Wall or Catcott
292  Journey by Journey / Heart of Wessex / Re: Bank Holiday Monday on the Weymouth line on: May 02, 2022, 13:31:39
RTT» (Real Time Trains - website) indicates that it was the last up service that was involved. Seems to be between Chetnole and Yetminster as it left there for Westbury 3hours late.
There is an occupation crossing just south of Yetminster, was the gate open, or was it the result of damaged fencing?
293  Journey by Journey / South Western services / Re: Car demolishes signal near Crewkerne on: April 26, 2022, 09:44:12
I am trying to work out which one it was. Was it the up repeater for the level crossing?
294  Journey by Journey / Heart of Wessex / Summer 2022 timetable on: April 26, 2022, 08:56:16
Additional two trains on Saturdays means that from 10.00 to 11.30 there are four services arriving in Weymouth, including a return to one from Swindon. In the past that was loco hauled!

NR» (Network Rail - home page), via Twitter, have shown a photograph of the signal base left after a car hit the signal this morning. It is affecting London bound trains but clearly,  secondarily, also those going to Exeter.

297  Journey by Journey / Portsmouth to Cardiff / Re: Rolling Stock discussion - Cardiff to Portsmouth on: April 22, 2022, 22:18:59
Upwey requires changing platforms over a footbridge. If time allows better to go to Weymouth.
GWR (Great Western Railway) planner gives Weymouth or Dorchester West, depending on the service, though Dorchester West to South is a 15 minute walk

The late running 1Y16 to Kings Cross, which was booked to stop at PBO p3. It seems the Lumo service was changed to pass via p1 rather than its normal p3.

Here is the unsuccessful Dorset bid.

Is it just me that finds it difficult to understand what they intend other than the concept?

Due to the reported theft of signalling cables, services running through Cornwall will meet with delays in various locations between Truro and Saltash today.
There will be a reduction in services on the Cornwall mainline as a result today.
