Due for replacement soon; the SWR» (South Western Railway - about) report into the future service is running late.

There is a Saturday bus: CB3 with three Crewkerne trips

https://bustimes.org/services/swe_42-cb3-_-y10

Sorry, I should have said that was the summer service to which I referred. The X51/53 does become half hourly during the summer months between Bridport and Axminster.

Looking at Bridport, we have stations at Axminster, Crewkerne, Dorchester and Maiden Newton, all are around 25 minutes away.
Axminster has a half hourly bus service and Dorchester an hourly one, there is also an hourly service to Weymouth. Crewkerne can be reached by bus but, due to recent funding issues, you normally have to change at Beaminster( and again at Crewkerne for Yeovil). There are no late evening services.
The train service on the West of England line is hourly while that from Dorchester is half hourly.
Car parking is limited at Crewkerne by 10 am, while Axminster has a larger car park.
I would presume modelling of passenger flows from Bridport would need to take these factors into account.

Not so bad so far today. The past couple of days saw the Exeter Riverside to Whatley train place in the goods loop at Yeovil Pen Mill for 90 minutes until a path cleared for it.

I think the BBC» (British Broadcasting Corporation - home page) Spotlight programme last night mentioned the need to do the cliff section.
The publication produced by the DfT» (Department for Transport - about) seems more like a defence against those South west MPs (Member of Parliament) who have been articulating about the imbalance in investment compared to other regions. The adding of schemes from Gloucester and Bournemouth/Poole help make up the numbers.
What is not included is a strategic view of long term investment plan for the south western counties.

988  All across the Great Western territory / The Wider Picture in the United Kingdom / Network Rail new regions on: February 12, 2019, 12:29:24
Network Rail has published a new model proposed for its organisation. There will be five regions with Wales and the Western Region being one. Wessex merges with the South Eastern area to form the Southern Region. The rest are LNWR (London North Western Railway), Scotland and Eastern Regions
Each region is divided into routes.

The high use of hydrogen in the food industry is in the processing of vegetable oils, producing the spreads we use.

A new report by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers suggest that the way forward in a rolling electrification programme. Hydrogen more suited to branch lines where electrification is a problem.
Hydrogen less efficient than electrification.
