I thought 'matey' was Inspector Morse's boss's catchphrase?

Or bubble bath if you are - ahem - old enough to remember.

I caught a glimpse of The Green Set tonight and it appeared to be topped and tailed by power cars wrapped with the 'Building a Greater West' theme. From my distance I couldn't see if they were the green power cars carrying wraps or older FGW (First Great Western)-style ones. I'd hazard a guess at the latter: why wrap the new-style ones?

As has been noted previously, it must be a nightmare trying to keep that one rake of coaches and the associated power cars together through the maintenance cycle. Or is there more than one green set now?

Hmmmmmm......still have to wait a couple of hours till Cap'n Jaspers opens for breakfast though! Smiley

Gosh, Cap'n Jaspers! That brings back memories. A bit of idle Google research suggests it's much more up-market these days than when I was acquainted with it in the 1970s, but glad to hear it still goes. Now, what about Ivor Dewdney Pasties...?

Either the clock is wrong or the departure information is a couple of hours out-of-date!

Hmm. Unfortunately it's easy to see the story from both points of view. Sadly, only the post mortems will now reveal the truth.

Don't get me started: we now have "onboarding" which, when I started work, was someone showing you where the coffee machine is and how to fiddle your expenses.

Presumably "offboarding" = P45?

Probably where the Pan Am flight attendants ended up.

I made a claim on 2nd February and the payment was sent out on the 7th. It exceeded my expectation and I was impressed! Good response from GWR (Great Western Railway).
