What has happened to 150925/926? Have they been disbanded as proposed and have the 150/1 cars departed? I assume the 'new' 150/2 created from the centre cars are in course of being modified/refurbished?

Does anyone know how many Turbos will have to remain at Reading to cover the Thames Valley Branches/Redhill-Gatwick/Oxford/Basingstoke services?

What I wish to be reassured on is that enough Turbos will still come to Bristol to not only replace the departing 143/153/150-1 units but allow for enhanced services. O.K, short formed HSTs (High Speed Train) will come into the equation as well. Hopefully no Turbos will have to remain at Reading to provide emergency cover for duff electrics.

Men in orange gear were on site yesterday doing preliminary site clearance. Don't think the El Big Boss was one of them!

Would include a picture if only I knew how to :-(

Staff told me that, in connection with the site work, platform 6 at Exeter will be shut for a couple of weekends in February.
19  Journey by Journey / Bristol (WECA) Commuters / Re: Turbo Roll Out Expansion on: January 04, 2018, 22:28:07
Just how many turbo units are at Bristol now?

I see that 3 x 150/1s have departed north; anything else gone.

611 returned to Exeter today and is now in the new green livery, which I too think looks very smart.

I suspect there is now another unit at Bristol.

603 still languishes at Exeter.

I meant to post this in 'Across the West'. Could some kind moderator please move it over.
22  All across the Great Western territory / Across the West / Refurbshed 150/2s on: July 25, 2017, 12:23:06
Is there a diagram of the internal layout of GWR (Great Western Railway)'s refurbished 150/2s anywhere that may be viewed?
23  Journey by Journey / Shorter journeys in Devon / Re: Green 143s on: July 21, 2017, 17:18:16
I am told that 143603 has turned up at Exeter today in GWR (Great Western Railway) green. Not seen it myself.
24  Journey by Journey / Bristol (WECA) Commuters / Re: Short formed trains on: June 28, 2017, 23:17:08
Is this data source freely available? Not info that I have seen before but mist useful to me.
25  Journey by Journey / Shorter journeys in Devon / Green 143s on: May 11, 2017, 15:36:11
I have been told that at least some of the 143s are to be painted green and themed for the lines that they operate on. I understand that 143612 is being worked on first. Presumably this is similar to what has happened to a numbers of the 153s.

Is anyone able to confirm the above?
26  All across the Great Western territory / Fare's Fair / Re: Fares manuals on: January 25, 2017, 23:53:10
Many thanks for the information, much appreciated. I downloaded the 2008 fares file but like earlier ones for which I have the CDs (Capital Delivery) it wouldn't run on a Windows 10 machine. As I had managed to get the 'others' to run on an ancient XP based laptop I tried the 2008 one but hey ho, it won't run there either and seems to have access, somewhere in its bowels, to the 2011 data!

Its not terribly important for me to have the 2008 data but if anyone out there could look up 7 fares for me it would be much appreciated. What I am after is the CDRs (Off Peak Day Return [ticket type] (formerly 'Cheap Day')) from Exmouth to each of the 7 stations up to and including Exeter Central.

By any chance does anyone have access to the fares manuals covering the Exeter area for January 2007 and 2008?

I need a small number of fares for the Avocet (Branch line from Exeter to Exmouth) line for both dates.

To help me with a quiz that I am compiling is anyone aware of a station in Wales that has a statue, monument or plaque somewhere on the platforms.

Any information would be gratefully received.

I have read somewhere that GWR (Great Western Railway) are going to have to send a number of their DMUs (Diesel Multiple Unit) elsewhere during this year (2017). I assume these will be 150/1s and/or 153s.

Does anyone have any further details - which units, where going to?
