What is planned to happen to 3 car units 150925 and 150926 in the GWR^▸ (Great Western Railway) DMU^▸ (Diesel Multiple Unit) cascade?

What work is being undertaken which results in the closure of track between Bristol Temple Meads and Parkway, also the Severn Beach Line, Parkway to Gloucester, Parkway to Newport and Temple Meads to Severn Tunnel Junction?

Are any pictures available of the flooding in the Atheleney area? Is this as bad as the the damage near Bridgwater?

I have seen three figures for the seating capacity of FGW^▸ (First Great Western)'s 143s - 92 (Rail Guide) 104 (Platform 5) and 106 (Wikipedia).

Anyone know which is correct?

These include one after the light's failure on 142068 on the way back from Barnstaple. Perhaps it hadn't liked the bottled water that it was fed at Meldon!!

Does anyone by any lucky chance have a Fares Manual (West) for January 2006?

I am trying to compare fares, primarily from Exmouth, between now and what they were before the current FGW^▸ (First Great Western) franchise. The TSO^▸ (The Stationary Office (now OPSI)), not unsurprisingly, shows that they are now out of print!

Any help would be much appreciated.

I am always happy to get corrected but I deliberately omitted the 150/0 units as, to my mind anyway, they are not Bristol/Exeter operational units as they are intended for the Reading to Basingstoke service. The 17 x 150/1s I have noted are:

Thanks to everyone who replied to my earlier posting, much appreciated. My faux pas on the 158s duly noted!

One further query. Looking at the ABC on line Rail Database it indicates 150248 allocated to Cardiff, although FGW^▸ (First Great Western) are shown as being the user. Has this unit gone temporary walkabout or is ABC wrong?

I have made a start at looking at seating capacities but this seems a tad of a nightmare with differences being noted between my two reference books, Colin Marsden's 2010 Rail Guide and the 2006 edition of Platform 5's combined publication. Is there an expert on such matters in the house?

I am just trying to tidy up a few queries and would appreciate confirmation of the following:

1) Have both 150001 & 150002 reached FGW^▸ (First Great Western)?
2) Have all the 150/1s now reached FGW?
3) Has 150209 been split and if so to which units have the individual cars been added?
4) Have all the 158 2 car units been converted into 3 car and if so what has happened to 763, 766 and 798?

I missed them too, believe they left Exeter around 12:10.

Does anyone know what the final 142 working was on the Exmouth branch? Saturday 26th would have been the last possible day.

Any information would be much appreciated.

Confirmation that two of the seven have departed would be great news.

Out of interest does anyone know which route they take and who (which operator) drives them?

The HST^▸ (High Speed Train) is planned to work down to Exmouth on the 10:48 from St Davids. There is likely to be some adjustments to normal timings but I have not been advised of these to date.

It will be a full length HST, with one carriage reserved for dignatories but otherwise a normal service.

Will publish more when information is to hand.
