Hello i work at reading station, my name is mary!

[snip]

I have joined to give advise, and to help as it seems from this website that there are many topics where people are unsure, and i dont blame them as its a complex issue at times the whole rail industry.

All my fondest regards,

[snip]

Edit by grahame. Checking back with Maryfgw that she really wanted certain details to be public, and that they are correct for her.

Second Edit by grahame.  Information posted in this (and another thread which has been removed from public view) has been checked and found to be false.   But the moderator team does agree with "Mary"'s sentiment of providing helpful information in the complex field of railways - fares, operation, franchising, etc.

Hi, Mary.  There's a lot changing at present - including with FGW (First Great Western).  It's slightly flattering, but very surprising that you would choose to share it with us here, and on open forum.

We're always very careful here not to reveal the identify of operational staff, and concern has been expressed to me already that you've placed some very public information out there.  No reason why you shouldn't, but I'm going to remove a couple of details which would allow people to identify the person described as a single specific individual, and lock the topic while I check back with you, etc.
