I'm guessing this one may be fairly easy, but it's a warm-up for another forthcoming bignosemac Bumper Picture Quiz. It's been a while since I've compiled one.

The next BPQ may well have a prize element once I've cleared all the rules and legalities with the rest of the mod/admin team.

No not county road, corporation street.  County road is the next one eastwards and looks quite different.

um I got mr mooks to google it since he lived in swindon for 10 years and is a FGW▸ (First Great Western) driver

Its definitely corp street but is still the most struck bridge in the country

I do wish DaFT» (Department for Transport - critical sounding abbreviation I discourage - about) and Networkrail would would visit Magdeburg.

There they have two ways of preventing bridge stirkes on the long viaduct running South from the Hbf.

The most effective 600V tram wires! Another one of my campaigns bring back trams and proper tram/trains.

If there's no trams then they have a massive steel girder structure about 10 meters in front of the bridge. I reckon it was to knock Russian tanks of a lorry, as the railways were so important to the DDR they couldn't have them blocked by bridge strikes. Anyrate it would certainly take the glass fibre roof of a modern truck.
