A petition has been created to campaign for double track on the Cotswold Line.

Click here to view it (you do not have to sign it): http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Cotswold/

Please do sign it, and get as many people to sign as possible. You could even post the url on your webpages etc.

This may be a way to finally see some action!

Many thanks. Smiley

Just to bring this back to the surface for newer members.

As Grahame says, it is a critical time. Please sign, thanks! Wink

Whilst I remain to be convinced that it is the answer - I have signed as there is undoubtedly benefit to me

BUT there is one caveat

No improvement in usage will occur until FGW (First Great Western) stop prioritising extended Thames valley commuters over long distance

I would beg to differ.

With double track, journey times will be slashed, slack will be minimised and punctuality improvements will mean you reach your journey on time.

Without double track, there is no scope for service improvements, and your journey will become longer each half year, and less reliable.

Remember, there is a better chance of the Cathedrals Express actually missing out some stops (!) with double track.

Double track = 2 hours to London from Worcester

As well as posting messages onto existing threads, and starting new subjects, members can communicate with each other through personal messages if they wish. And once members have made a certain number of posts, they will automatically be admitted to the "frequent posters club", where subjects not-for-public-domain are discussed; anything from the occasional rant to meetups we may be having ...
