With the expected change from "FGW (First Great Western)" to "GWR (Great Western Railway)" this morning, we've been busy updating links to remain connected and functional - though NOT a dramatic parallel sweep to that done by FGW / GWR.

The GWR press release and brochure is at
http://www.firstgreatwestern.info/coffeeshop/index.php?topic=16253

Please use this thread to report / document issues on the "Coffee Shop" site which are broken / clogged / need us to fix / things that should be added.   The idea is that having them all in one place we can save everyone from having to report the same thing, but at the same time everyone has a place they can easily be our eyes and ears!

OK, thanks Chris ... now that there's been the first amends / cancels I know what the new data looks like and I've amended the diagram so that it successfully shows it right when things are wrong.    Please bear in mind that this is a test case so far - I don't have a data specification so an eye needs to be kept on this one!

I'm sure it's on your (long) to do list but the paragraph at the bottom will need amending:

Out of interest now that you are using the gwr.info page as well, when (if at all) will your fgw.info page close?

It's still hosted on fgw.info - check the urlnin your browser. So gwr.info if pointed to fgw.info currently.

Presumably as some stage you'll migrate the site to gwr.info and point fgw.info at that?

a) Bottom Paragraph fixed

b) There is no change to www.firstgreatwestern.info and it's our intent for that domain to remain registered and available and carrying existing content.  www.greatwesternrailway.info is also linking to the same site, but that should be regarded as an interim measure rather that something to be used / bookmarked for the future.   We have so much historic content out there indexed via search engines, and hard links to specific domains that make it "interesting" to change - and that's quite different to the main GWR (Great Western Railway) / FGW (First Great Western) sites which are all about current travel and plans, without the historic element.  As far as a passenger is concerned, once a train has left (s)he has missed it - but as far as we're concerned so much knowledge is built up by why that train was missed - and it makes us very different.   Our longer term solution is gwr.passenger.chat ... mentioned elsewhere will add a link to the thread about that later.

Apologies if it has been mentioned, however I have just noticed the '@GWR (Great Western Railway) Twitter Feed' link across the top still directs to twitter.com/FGW (First Great Western) instead of twitter.com/GWRHelp.

I read that the GWRhelp was just rebranded FGW twitter, until I realised Twitter showed I didn't follow that feed.

I read that the GWRhelp was just rebranded FGW twitter, until I realised Twitter showed I didn't follow that feed.

Within hours of the change, I checked the feed and it had not yet been converted.   Having read also that it was just a rebrand, I moved on, to come back at a later date.  But turns out not to be a redirect ...

Anyway, that's my excuse Grin  - thanks for letting me know, feed fixed!
