Who says railway vending machines are poor value for money?!

Well at Bath Spa I went to the last remaining vending machine on Platform 1 in the hunt for some chocolate. When I arrived at the machine the was already 10p credit on the display. So naturally I started filling the machine with the smaller coinage I had on my person. Until I had that amount to 50p and realised I only had another ^1 coin.

B*gg*r I thought... This could end badly... Quite the opposite in fact... I put in the ^1 coin totalling a credit of ^1.50 and selected a Wispa.

The machine messed up and gave me 2 Wispa's Grin Then it really went on a silly trip, because when I pressed the change button, It gave me my ^1.50 back!!! Grin Grin  Cool Cool

I now have 2 Wispa Chocolate Bars and am 10p up... Should I feel bad?? Cheesy Shocked

Serious Note: Had this been an establishment where someone had access to the machine, I would have returned the second chocolate bar and reimbursed the costs... But a Selecta Vending Machine at 23:15 at night... Perhaps not as easy as it seems... Wink

Yes, society will not judge you harshly, thetrout. I had a similar experience in a leading post office, when I went in to buy stamps and saw huge queues at the two (of a dozen) points that were open. So I used the vending machine, which issued loose stamps rather than books, and ended up with long strip worth more than twice the money I had put in.
