From This Is Somerset:

Quote
Snow could begin to fall over Somerset tonight, weather forecasters have warned this afternoon.

The Met Office has issued a revised severe weather warning for the region which suggests a spell of sleet and snow may hit the county from 7pm this evening.

The Met Office's revised severe weather warning of snow for tomorrow

The warning says outbreaks of snow are expected over higher ground tonight, and will spread more widely tomorrow.

The Met Office is predicting up to 4cm of snow for most parts of the region, but has warned that up to 10cm could fall in some southern areas.
Gusts of up to 60mph are also forecast to hit coastal and hilly areas.

A more serious amber warning has been issued for parts of Devon tomorrow morning, where as much as 7cm of snow could fall.

That could rise to 10cm on parts of Dartmoor, with gales expected to increase the risk of snow drifts.

The amber warning urges people to be prepared for disruption, particularly to travel, and is in place from 0.05am until 9am tomorrow morning.

Local update: It's already started, with a light dusting of snow falling in Nailsea as I post.  Wink

I usually find that a remark like 'got lugworm on your tongue then?' clears up that confusion. Have known BNM... of all people... to make the same error recently  Roll Eyes

Oh, it won't snow in Teignmouth. Go a mile inland - maybe. 18 years living in Torbay taught me that.

No flies on thetrout...

Some in Bristol say that this could be as bad as the light flurry of a few weeks ago. Expect chaos.

Well I've been angling for an excuse not to end up on 2C36 this evening. Turns out the line wasn't going to snap and the 23:38 is the order of the day... Wink
