Cooks European Rail Timetable - the end of the line

Cooks is to cease publication of its European Rail Timetable. For anyone who travels by train across Europe this is a real shame. I've just been to Briancon (the highest standard gauge station in France) the old fashioned way by train to Dover, ferry to Calais, walk to Calais Ville etc. Without this timetable planning such a trip would be nigh on impossible.

Let's hope someone is able to take it over and keep it going.

I believe the reason is that it is not part of its current core business (package holidays), not particularly because it is unprofitable, so perhaps it can be sold off with the name licensed, as happens in some other businesses.

And the March issue will be a collectors piece, as it's sold out & they're not reprinting it.
