.....between Marylebone & Bicester North only, and between 8am & 8pm only.

Timetable is here

All normal off-peak fares available all weekend available on this day too. Not sure about advance fares, but tickets are available on their booking engine, so go & check if you are interested.

I'm not sure Advances are generally available between those stations, so I'm doubtful. But Groupsave definitely is.

Just received the email from Chiltern advertisng the service.

By only going to Bicester North Network Rail only has to provide one signalman.

The ranks are breaking!

Hmmm. I'm hearing that Bicester Village have put the money up & staff were asked to volunteer for what I'm hearing is a rather decent package!

It mystifies me why anyone would want to go anywhere near Bicester Village on Boxing Day, but I'm sure there will be plenty of people that will!  Wink

I expect the service to be a big success, and hopefully sooner rather than later the tipping point will be reached where a much more comprehensive and nationwide (to key destinations) service operates on Boxing Day.

It can't come soon enough as far as I'm concerned. Not so I can go shopping, but so I can have the option of escaping the family 24 hours earlier.  Tongue

Here is the full timetable: http://www.chilternrailways.co.uk/sites/default/files/Chiltern%20Railways%20Boxing%20Day%202013%20Timetable%284%29.pdf

I'm surprised neither of the Ruislips are getting any service.
