or not as the case may be.

now due 0657 so only 25 late but.......

the station board and the woman announcer is adamant it is first stop reading.

would like to be a fly on the platform at, say, morton as the train flies through - not that its going to happen

oh - and weve just had 3 consecutive announcements - 25 late, 23 late, 28 late.  all within a minute

apparently its not going by the cotswold line - is the latest anouncement - interesting.

maybe I should have gone virgin

apparently it is so late it will clog up the line so they are sending it via cheltenham.

the 0655 stopper will run down to oxford.

now, doesn't bother me but....
why run a hst effectively empty to reading just so a turbo can run.

surely makes more sense to can the turbo and run the hst down stopping at its stations.

been doing this since 2004 and not seen the like.

This is the official line on the FGW (First Great Western) website. Did it ever leave Bristol? Is it running Reading-London only? Twilight zone indeed...

05:42 Hereford to London Paddington due 08:51
This train has been revised. It will no longer call at: Ledbury, Colwall, Great Malvern, Malvern Link, Worcester Foregate Street, Worcester Shrub Hill, Pershore, Evesham, Honeybourne, Moreton-In-Marsh, Kingham, Charlbury, Hanborough and Oxford. This is due to a delay on a previous journey.

Now, I don't know why the 06.52 Worcester-Oxford halts train did not run today, but it didn't, so the following 06.43 from Hereford was ordered to call at all the halts as well, and arrived about 20 minutes late into Oxford, though according to a Charlbury blog entry, the halts passengers had all given up and disappeared to get their cars by the time a train finally turned up.

Should ensure a fun time at Meet the Managers in Oxford between 4pm and 8pm today...
