I notice that there is no acknowledgement of the Portishead Branch Line, for a start.  In 2013, it was generally predicted to have been re-opened by 2018?  Roll Eyes

William Huskisson MP▸ (Member of Parliament) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

Hmmm ... I noted the presence of Oxford to Bedford, and the absence of Stockport to Stalybridge.

From a quick look:

New Cranbrook station near Exeter missing
Still says First Great Western
Chiltern running Oxford to Reading via Didcot
No line from Yeovil Pen Mill to the Junction
No Worcestershire Parkway
Cross rail only runs to Maidenhead (though that may be right for 2018)
Todmorden Curve missing

To be fair, when that map was drawn in 2013, the TOC▸ (Train Operating Company) was First Great Western.  The map-makers could not know of any future change of name (or, indeed, take into account any possible change of franchise) between 2013 and 2018.

It was right; the extension was announced in 2014. But in 2018 Crossrail (its only name then) will only go to Heathrow, the service to Maidenhead (and now Reading) is (and was) to start in 2019.
