1. We have some members on this forum who have found in the past that the number of posts relating to the TransWilts line has been disproportionate to the extent it's been irritating to them.

2. With a Community Rail Partnership there are some things that - whilst they're not secret - we don't want to make a song and dance about on a public forum that Google will find.    For example, all train services get delayed or cancelled from time to time, and it's useful to analyse that ... but we really don't want potential new users finding that thread and being put off on the basis that "it's not reliable".

So we have a "TransWilts Community Rail Partnership" board here ... only visible to members who have elected to see it - and there are 43 at the moment.   In practise, I think I've started nearly every thread there as I seem to be the community's official lead on the line, but others do comment and are VERY welcome.

Over the last few weeks,  with designation, making of the service permanent, our success on the buses ... I'm getting a noticeable trickle of people asking questions about what we've done and how we operate as a CRP (Community Rail Partnership).   I'm delighted to answer, and also delighted if other post about their CRPs to exchange views and thought in the semi-private arena.

If YOU would like tp be 'patched in' to this board - it's not high volume - please send me a p.m. or like this post, and I look forward to welcoming you!

Do you have something you would like to add to this thread, or would you like to raise a new question at the Coffee Shop? Please [register] (it is free) if you have not done so before, or login (at the top of this page) if you already have an account - we would love to read what you have to say!

You can find out more about how this forum works [here] - that will link you to a copy of the forum agreement that you can read before you join, and tell you very much more about how we operate. We are an independent forum, provided and run by customers of Great Western Railway, for customers of Great Western Railway and we welcome railway professionals as members too, in either a personal or official capacity. Views expressed in posts are not necessarily the views of the operators of the forum.

As well as posting messages onto existing threads, and starting new subjects, members can communicate with each other through personal messages if they wish. And once members have made a certain number of posts, they will automatically be admitted to the "frequent posters club", where subjects not-for-public-domain are discussed; anything from the occasional rant to meetups we may be having ...
