Some of you may have picked up from my posts I'm a "Secret Track Basher"

Went to town yesterday and chose to change at Hayes to try a 387. Silly move misread connection and had 25 minute wait freezing but nice 8 car 387 arrived, nice and warm inside.

Go to Ealing Broadway and were passed by a car train from Acton yard on Down Relief.

So we used the new Underpass so a bit of fresh track on the GWML (Great Western Main Line) in 2017.

Need to go to Hayes to get new crossover to Platform 5

Someone was talking about what they should do on an all line rover.  Any tracks you would take in?  Do you do those rail tours that run to "Limit of Network Rail property"?

Yep you've caught me out, guilty m'lud!

So a couple of suggestions for unusual routes.

Grand Central: Kings Cross to Bradford. After Doncaster you go via some of the remaining  Yorkshire coalfield lines and get a good view of the Doncaster North Chord flyover.

Wakefield - Goole only a couple of trains a day follow the Aire and Calder Canal past the  the remains of the now closed Kellingley pit (last deep mine), Eggborough and Drax power stations. You may even see some of the last MGRs with imported coal and biomass

Swinton and Knottingly Joint Leeds Sheffield train?

For those not aware of it, PSUL (http://www.psul4all.free-online.co.uk/2017.htm) is a wondrous guide to some of the less frequented places you can visit.
