Closed Station - trains leave without passengers

A band of early morning commuters were forced to watch their train pull away this morning (Thursday, January 26) without them because there were no staff to open the gate to the platform.

People were left queuing at the railings at Tunbridge Wells station despite both them and the train being there on time.

A high proportion of stations are unstaffed, and more staffed only part of the time. How many stations do we have like Tunbridge Wells which are gated (and presumably) locked shut when no staff are present?

The same thing nearly happened at Bridgwater the other week. Luckily the guard has the foresight to try one of his keys to unlock the gate, but the train incurred delay as some passengers initially walked all the way round to the other platform.

Taplow always open 24 hour cab office on the platform
