I reckon I can claim this as a first in terms of 'Journey Check-Reason For Delay' information.

Following a very pleasant long weekend in the city, which included (obviously) watching Exeter Chiefs defeat Montpellier Herault Rugby, I boarded the 1026 Montpellier > Paris Gare de Lyon service on Monday (23/10). Train departed 15 minutes late and we were then held for the best part of an hour just west of Nimes due to Firemen On The Line:

Eventually reached Paris 70 minutes late. Seulement en La France???  Smiley

For a minute I thought you were talking about a station on the Severn Beach Line.  But then I saw the reference to a direct train to Gare de Lyon!

Having visited both Montpelier and Montpellier, I can tell you that they have much in common.

I think that last observation may be a little tongue in cheek, or else RS has been stuffing his cheeks with nuts, ready for the Daily Express version of l'hiver !.
