Despite "GWR (Great Western Railway)"'s statements about trying harder, nothing seems to be improving for the Cotswold and Hereford route.

And now the expected:

Although it's a full cancellation rather than just a termination at Oxford.

That's six cancellations already today for the north Cotswold Line. Seems Saturday has come a day early!

Presumably due to the cancellation of the 15:14 Hereford to Paddington, though it's not also stopping additionally at Kingham or Hanborough.

I suppose there's some fault meaning the train isn't allowed with passengers through the tunnel??  Surely it won't be sitting at Colwall from 1113 until 1234, waiting time for the return working from there towards London?

This one could be a record-breaker in terms of the number of changes to the advertised service:
Quote
17:35 Maidenhead to Hereford due 20:26 will be reinstated.
It will be started from Reading and terminated at Oxford.
It will no longer call at Maidenhead, Hanborough, Charlbury, Kingham, Moreton-in-Marsh, Honeybourne, Evesham, Pershore, Worcester Shrub Hill, Worcester Foregate Street, Malvern Link, Great Malvern, Colwall, Ledbury and Hereford.
This is due to engineering works not being finished on time.
Will be formed of 2 coaches instead of 5. First class reduced. Catering is not available. There are no reservations on this service. Toilet facilities are reduced.

13:55 Worcester Foregate Street to London Paddington due 16:27 will no longer call at Slough.
This is due to a speed restriction because of high track temperatures.
Last Updated:08/05/2018 07:58

The above is only one example of numerous trains on the Worcester and hereford route not stopping today at Slough because of high track temperatures.  Presumably a trs has been instigated and this is to claw back some of the anticipated lost time?
