Given that many clues ... I can find a picture of the station in 2. at Salisbury, Adelaide. The train might be in Adelaide too, though not on that line and not in that livery, which does belong a long way away.

Multiple clues suggest to me that No. 1 is near Perth, Western Australia - with "near" being in Aussie distances; the TransWA Network stretches 400 miles to Kalgoorie.

Close enough. It is actually in the Perth suburb of Warwick, between the carriageways of the Mitchell Freeway from my touring coach, enroute for Darwin via Exmouth and ultimately to The Ghan to Adelaide.

Yes, that's all very well - but what about the trackside trespasser in the foreground?  Why don't they have fencing to keep the types of him out ??  Shocked Roll Eyes Grin

William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.
