What's the point in offering an off peak day return at the same price as and anytime day return?

That's Melksham to Bristol Temple Meads in the screen capture - but not sure why there should be two tickets, anytime and off-peak day returns, at the same price for the same journey.

What are the fares for both Chippenham and Trowbridge to Bristol(TM(resolve)) and thus would it be cheaper for punters to travel in peak times Chippenham or Trowbridge to Bristol(TM) on a Melksham to Bristol(TM) anytime day return. THAT WOULD boost ticket sales for Melksham if it was cheaper if not actually increasing Melksham stations footfall.

I don't think there are any such anomalies left ... and from my view thank goodness. I would rather have real figures than ones that people question - ones that look good but in fact are icing on hot air!

On a train as I type with about 50 other people ... suits me ...

Just checked - a single anomaly left - you can save 20p anytime day return Chippenham to Bristol by buying anytime Melksham to Bristol.
