The 05.33 Weymouth to Parkway service failed at Dorchester West. This resulted in the 06.44 being cancelled as the former was blocking the route.
The 06.54 Westbury is being terminated at Maiden Newton and will form the 09.18 back from there.
Meanwhile the stock for the 06.44 has run as 1Z99 to rescue the failed train and now sits just north of Dorchester West Station.
While it is mentioned on Journey Check, Twitter was silent until I asked. It would appear that the GWR (Great Western Railway) Twitter is reactive to passengers rather than proactive.
A replacement bus was due from Weymouth at 07.30

Caught out by this as I had to go into Bath for a 0900 start so would have caught the second Weymouth service from TRO» (Trowbridge - next trains).  Instead caught a packed 0800 which was full and standing on arrival although I found a "reserved" seat which was not occupied.  Not a nice commute form W Wilts and Frome today.
