Thanks ... can't even go down to Melksham Station and watch the trains go through.

Really appreciate your "zero" post - the number of times in my career I've tried to debug a piece of software which has just returned be a blank screen for results ...only to find after wasting hours that the blank screen was actually the correct result and nothing matched.   "There are no matches" is a wonderful confirmation in such a case.

Alterations to services between Westbury and Pewsey
Due to a points failure between Westbury and Pewsey the line towards Reading is blocked.
Train services running through these stations may be delayed or diverted via Melksham. Disruption is expected until 12:00 07/06.

Silly me - of course I could!

Just to mention that tonight at 21:00 is the last in the present series of 'Inside Central Station' on BBC» (British Broadcasting Corporation - home page) Scotland:

Quote
In this episode, there is chaos on the concourse when the staff at Central station deal with a huge influx of football fans on match day and face disruption on the tracks. Tour guide Paul explores the historic relationship between the home of Scottish football Hampden Park and the station. Meanwhile, the concourse becomes a stage for performers and protestors alike and sees the arrival of an unlikely celebrity in the form of Instagram sensation Lucy the samoyed dog. Elsewhere in the station, hen parties and excited Proclaimers fans arrive en masse, entertaining us with their favourite tunes from the famous brothers.

Thanks for the programme info.I am only as good as the details on the freview guide.

I find the bridge on the river Kwai film difficult to watch with all the misery that was inflicted on Allied soldiers

I got lucky. I saw the listing for How the Victorians Built Britain on Digiguide and guessed there could be a railway connection. I've never seen the film about the Bridge on the River Kwai but 3 hours+ is a bit much to hold my attention.

Indeed a 3 hour 15 minute slot for a film which is 2 hours and 41 minutes long!  Plenty of ad breaks opportunities to make a cuppa.

There was also another 5 minute entertainment programme inserted during the film which a lot of channels seem to do these days. I have been caught out by that in the past when my PVR treats both parts as separate programmes and only records the first part. I have since learnt to make separate recordings for both parts.
