From NME (New Musical Express)

Quote
Two weeks after its release, a Cyberpunk 2077 player has discovered a feature that was seemingly cut from the game.

Reddit user Sybekul shared a video of them discovering what appears to be a railway system for the game that was cut before the game was released. Although the game currently includes trains, the feature cannot actually be used by players.

The clip shows the Sybekul following train tracks to a large train station that can be entered, although it is incomplete, with missing floors, ceiling, walls and other textures. It is currently unclear if the feature was cut to meet the game?s release date or if it was left intentionally incomplete to make the in-game?s universe seem more realistic.

Note - not sure where I should be posting railway interest in computer games ... "broadcast media"  feels the closest as it's electronic and at-home stuff ...

Its only now you mention it that I realise that railways and computer games hasn't really featured on the forum. I'm guessing most people prefer real trains and engineering or after a days commuting on the Thames Valley its the last thing they want to do.

I've always found the simulator games too much like hard work (bit like the flight sims) but I have watched a few videos of routes I've travelled to see how accurate they are. The main simulator seems to be Train Simulator 2021 (and most previous years).

There's a GWR (Great Western Railway) DLC. One sample video @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIQCi-G0S3I

I've probably played a bit more of the 'strategy' games starting with Railroad Tycoon - or actually starting with the board game 1829 which made me pick up Railroad Tycoon for my Amiga back in the very early 90s.
