As from 31st December 2020 ...

Tier 4 - "Do not leave home EXCEPT ..." - further details below
a) London, South East, Home counties as far as Poole, Swindon, Cheltenham.
b) Somerset though not BaNES or North Somerset
c) ALSO All of Wales - own rules very similar to tier 4
You MUST NOT TRAVEL to / from these areas without explicit reason

Tier 3 - Hospitality closes, stay local if at all possible - further details below
a) Bristol, North Somerset, BaNES, South Gloucestershire, Wiltshire
b) Dorset, Devon, Cornwall
c) Worcestershire, Herefordshire

If you ARE travelling by public transport, or shopping or in environments where you will be near others outside your immediate family / bubble ....
* Please wear a mask if you can (even if you could claim legal exemption)
* Please socially distance (and especially if you are unable to wear a mask)
* Please choose a quieter time if you possibly can
* Please  use contactless payment if you can ... cash as last resort
* Please wash hands regularly and observe other excellent personal hygiene

At this extraordinary time I'm asking you not to travel unless you have to - that's because I want you and your familiy, friends and contacts to be around next summer and many years thereafter to travel with you and enjoy your company. Public transport travel is not inherenly dangerous - it's just that the best way to keep the virus spread down until we have a flood of immunity through vacination and better weather is to stay at home.

CURRENT Map of disruptions and tiers. This is a dynamic map and will change with live data feeds. It will also change when the tier map changes:

You can find out more about how this forum works [here] - that will link you to a copy of the forum agreement that you can read before you join, and tell you very much more about how we operate. We are an independent forum, provided and run by customers of Great Western Railway, for customers of Great Western Railway and we welcome railway professionals as members too, in either a personal or official capacity. As well as posting messages onto existing threads, and starting new subjects, members can communicate with each other through personal messages if they wish. And once members have made a certain number of posts, they will automatically be admitted to the "frequent posters club", where subjects not-for-public-domain are discussed; anything from the occasional rant to meetups we may be having ...
