Due to ongoing IT  issues.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-60533275

Is this a "normal" IT c0ck up, or perhaps a Russian cyber attack ? The timing does perhaps suggest the later though I am not aware of any actual evidence.

A proper intercity train has a minimum of 8 coaches, gangwayed throughout, with first at one end, and a full sized buffet car between first and standard.
It has space for cycles, surfboards, luggage etc.
A 5 car DMU (Diesel Multiple Unit) is not a proper inter-city train. The 5+5 and 9 car DMUs are almost as bad.

Reporting says it's not linked to Russia ... but then you can't believe everything you read in the media ...

Indeed. Just another IT issue. Not the first. That's what happens when you outsource to the lowest bidder and make redundant scores of long serving and highly competent IT staff. The blame lies squarely with Tata Consultancy Services.

Who needs Russian cyber criminals when they have got outsourcing/downsizing/offshoring/rightsizing to do the job.
