Cycle carriages in Scotland ... really thin services in Wales.  2 cars (one with luggage, one with accessible loo) also in Wales.  Network Rail track monitor.  And now ...

From Rail Advent

Quote
The Llanelli and Mynydd Mawr Railway (LMMR) has announced plans to convert the the bodyshell of a Class 153 single-car diesel multiple unit into a unique community café and hub at its base at Cynheidre.

The railway’s plans are for the interior of the bodyshell to be fitted out professionally as a railway-themed Community Cafe and meeting room. Once that has been completed, the railway will make it available for use as a hub by both the railway and the local community.

I'm not sure if I'm very sad or very happy about this - mixed emotions.

P.S. - does anyone have a copy of that photoshopped class 153 in "NightStar" livery at Blaeneau Ffestiniog - half sleeper and half seating - with the international service to (? Lubeck)

THANK YOU ... but silly me, that was Blaeneau to Paris according to the headboard.  The Lubeck carriage must have been the one from Blackpool South
