Interestingly -
1Z51 1327 Exeter St Davids to Glasgow Central still at St Davids.
1Z50 1409 Newton Abbot to Plymouth still at platform (tho' it is not scheduled to depart as yet).

#Torbay Unfortunately we’ve had to cancel the 13:02, 2 service between Newton Abbot & Exeter Bus Station, due to severe delays on route.

The next bus from Newton Abbot will be the 13:32. This is unfortunately delayed by 20 minutes, due to congestion.

My error.
1Z50 and 1Z51 are Cross Country trains -I misread them as being Network Rail trains.

Thoughts to all those involved at Teignmouth.
Disruption now expected until 1600.

A person has died after being hit by a train in Devon. The incident happened at Teignmouth Station just after 1pm today (Wednesday).

Trains in the area were stopped as a result. Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the person on the tracks was pronounced dead at the scene.

As of 3pm, train lines in the area were blocked with disruption expected until 4pm, according to National Rail.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to Teignmouth Station at 1.07pm today (13 September) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

"Paramedics also attended however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."

Updates on this incident continue here.

Is anyone able to advise which train, and the unit number, was involved in this incident?

A sister of the deceased, a Railfuture campaigner, would like to know, as she says it would help with "closure."
