It looks like it, but it isn't. It's a line that closed in 1975 and re-opened 20 years later. |

The cat: The granites kerbs and pavoirs feel British and there isn't an awful lot left of Holt Junction so I will plump for Tondu. So a Welsh cath.

It's just that the answer to the question "where did the Italians take their trains in the 1930s and then go away and leave them behind?" is Eritrea. |

Yes - Eritrea (and, yes, similar to the sort of thing on the round Etna railway). Ironically, the cat (picture no. 8 ) was from the round Etna railway - Randazzo. Having given the clue that it was one of the same places as the other pictures, I felt the tiles looked very much Meditteranean and someone would then guess it quickly. Clearly my feelings were wrong !! |
