A meeting in Swindon today, for West Wiltshire Rail User Group to catch up with GWR (Great Western Railway) on issues in the area - West Wilts including Melksham, Bradford-on-Avon, Trowbridge, Westbury and Warminster towns. We also cover Dilton Marsh and Avoncliff stations in West Wilts, and Frome as a sort of associate because all of their trains run to / from / through West Wilts.  Why are we holding the meeting - what do we want to achieve, as well as what do we want to raise?  My personal pre-meeting notes at  http://grahamellis.uk/blog1054.html - personal but nothing secret in there, and a good list of items.

Not sure if you will be able to ask this question.

When trains are diverted Swindon to BTM (Bristol Temple Meads (strictly, it should be BRI)) due to an issue/s between Chippenham and Bath.

Why do ALL trains get diverted?

Could every other one go down to Chippenham TERMINATE and then restart from Chippenham heading back to London?

If I lived in B-O-A or Trowbridge and had a call to pick someone up from Chippenham to collect them.

I would prefer to collect them from Chippenham rather that Swindon.

Various discussions relating to flooding at Dauntsey, Wootton Bassett and Chipping Sodbury looking to discuss how Chippenham can be best served.  Issues between between Chippenham and Bath are less common.
