Whilst waiting for the steam train this afternoon I noticed a new(ish) ticket machine on P2 at Warminster. The major fault with the old machine was that the screen faced South and the machine was out in the open. The new one faces South and is in the open - just like the old one.............and just like the old one the screen is totally illegible in anything like bright daylight !!!

Having said that,

even colour TV cameras,

55 years on since introduction struggle to go from bright sunlight to shade in televised live football matches.
